Do you really love yourself and your body? It makes a big difference, you know. It’s important that you are as kind and loving toward yourself and your physique as you are to other people around you. And, you have to be able to love yourself before you can really love someone else.
I know you’ve heard all that before, so it’s probably old news to you. But, have you really tried to put it into practice? How many times have you put on an outfit and then examined yourself in the mirror with a critical eye? How’s your “self-talk”? Do you say mean things to yourself about your appearance or your actions? Would you really tolerate that kind of criticism and negativity from a friend? Well, don’t allow it to come from you either.
It’s important to talk to yourself “as if” you had your dream figure right now. It’s critical that when you look in the mirror, you see yourself as the beautiful amazing creation that you are. You’ll start to build yourself up and along with that will come better choices, better decisions, and better feelings about yourself. You’ll start to carry yourself a little bit differently. You’ll treat yourself a little more carefully and feed and exercise your body with the top quality things you deserve.
If you don’t know where to get started, there’s a contest going on over at the Burn the Fat Inner Circle website. Tom Venuto is holding a Body Transformation Challenge called the “Love Your Body” Challenge, and it’s right in line with what we’re talking about today. This isn’t the kind of contest where you have to post embarrassing pictures of yourself in a bikini. It’s a contest that helps you to start taking consistent daily actions toward your most important health and fitness goals. The deadline to enter is Thursday, February 21, 2013, though, so if it sounds interesting to you, be sure to check it out really soon. You don’t want to miss out.
Even if you don’t join up with a contest or seek out support in an online community or something else, you can still learn to love yourself. It all starts with being aware. Just catch yourself every time you start to think something negative about you and replace it with something positive. Next, start taking daily action toward your goals. Just the fact that you’re moving toward something you want will make you feel good about yourself. And, the art of “taking action” will give you a sense of pride and accomplishment.
YOU are special, worthy, and beautiful and it’s time you give yourself a little credit. We are usually the hardest on ourselves. Take some time out to show yourself a little love. It’s helpful too if you keep track of all your accomplishments along the way, no matter how trivial. Just having a great day of feeding yourself healthy foods is a win for you. Getting in a tough workout and making it through, even though you didn’t feel like it is a bonus and deserves some recognition. It’s not easy to get up and get moving in the direction of your goals and dreams, so when you do, celebrate it!
The more positive actions you take, the more you’re going to have to celebrate. So, be kind to yourself. Be your own best friend, and learn to celebrate YOU!
