Welcome to December

Hello Cougars!  Welcome to December!  I love the beginning of a new month and the fresh start that it offers.  (This may have more to do with “all-or-nothing” syndrome, but that’s a topic for another day!).  December is special, not only because of all the lovely holidays, but because it’s your last chance to get it together before the New Year hits.

Why wait until January to get started?  Most people probably won’t even get started on January 1st because they’ll be nursing hangovers.  In fact, a lot of folks may not even make it to the gym (for the first time in a long time) until well into January, if at all.

It’s easy to make all kinds of lofty New Year’s Resolutions when the New Year seems so far off.  How often have you done this yourself?  I’ve done it – many times.  This year was different though.  I got serious again about my nutrition and my workouts before Thanksgiving.  I’m working hard all through Christmas and New Year’s and everything in between.  And when New Year’s Day rolls around, I’ll be way ahead of the game and full steam ahead.

YOU can do the same thing.  You have four weeks.  This time will pass by you (rapidly) and you might as well make the most of it.  You may even feel less stressed than usual throughout the holidays because you’re exercising and eating right.  You won’t be worried about gaining weight during this time like everyone else around you.  You’ll have a plan set in motion to carry you through and you’ll emerge in January refreshed and fit.

Do yourself a favor and get ahead of the game by starting your fitness plan NOW.  There’s no reason to wait, and you have every reason to get started now.  Just think about how amazing you are going to look in that slinky dress at that New Year’s Eve Party!  That should provide you with some motivation!  I’ll see you at the gym …
